FreeStudio Plus

PDF

A page-by-page portrait PDF with the generated cover and your chosen layouts, suitable for reading on a device or ordinary home printing. PDF export is free. Selectable paper sizes, commercial-print resolution, and bleed are not available in the current app.

Video

The app renders your pages into an MP4. Still pages show for two seconds and page videos play for up to eight seconds. On Android, the export can mix narration, page video sound, and looping story music. On iOS the visual MP4 currently exports without those mixed audio layers. Video export is free.

Project files

A .ddstory file is a complete editable-project archive — pages, text, layouts, original media, generated media, audio, and cached frames. Previously rendered PDF and MP4 exports are excluded, so save those separately. Use the archive to move a project to another device, hand it to a partner, or keep a manual backup. Import validates the archive and fails safely rather than half-loading it.

Printed keepsakes

Coming soon The thing people ask us for most: a real printed book. We are working on ordering a hardcover or softcover copy of a finished project directly from the app — printed, bound, and posted to you. Watch the roadmap or tell us you’re interested at support@mcntech.com.

Sharing

Exports go through your phone’s normal share sheet, so they reach whatever you already use. The app does not host, publish, or post your books anywhere. There is no public gallery and no social feed. What you make goes where you send it.

If your subscription ends

You keep your local projects and you keep being able to open, edit, and export them. Existing cloud backups remain restorable after Studio Plus ends, while new or updated cloud backups require an active subscription. See the terms.
