Delete your projects, data, or account

How to delete a page, asset, project, local app data, or your signed-in account, and which actions can be undone.

  1. Delete a single project

    In Projects, open the three-dot menu on a project card and choose Move to Trash. Open the project Trash to restore it or delete it permanently.

  2. Delete a page or an asset

    Page deletion asks for confirmation and then removes the page permanently; its media stays in Library. Library assets have a recoverable Trash. If an asset is used by pages or sound settings, the app lists those uses and asks whether to remove the links before moving the asset to Trash. Restoring the asset later does not reattach those links automatically.

  3. Clear all app data from the device

    There is not yet a bulk Delete local data action inside the app. To clear everything local, first export what you want to keep, then use your device’s app settings to clear Doodle Dragon’s storage or uninstall the app. This does not by itself delete your signed-in account, cloud backups, or store subscription.

    Tip. Device-level data clearing is immediate and cannot be undone.

  4. Delete your account permanently

    Account → Delete account. Read the confirmation carefully, then choose Delete permanently. See account deletion for exactly what is removed and how long it takes.

The three different things people mean by “delete”

“Remove this book.” Delete the project. Everything else stays.

“Get my stuff off this phone.” Clear the app’s storage in device settings or uninstall it. Your cloud account and store subscription are separate.

“I want out entirely.” Delete your account. See account deletion — it has the full detail, including what happens to your subscription.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription Subscriptions live with Apple or Google, not with us. Cancel through your app store before deleting your account, or you may keep being billed for a service you can no longer sign in to. See manage your subscription.

Export first

Deletion is permanent. If there is any chance you will want a book later, export a .ddstory archive and a PDF before you delete anything. See back up and move your projects.
