Edit, reorder, and lay out pages
Change the words, swap pictures, reorder pages, choose layouts, and understand what happens when a page is deleted.
Free
Open a page
Tap any page card in the project editor. The page editor shows the text, the attached picture or clip, and the layout for that page.Change the words
The text field is plain and editable. Type, paste, delete. Autosave writes as you go — there is no save button and no unsaved-changes warning.Swap the picture
Tap the media area to replace it from your project library, your phone, the sketch canvas, or (with Studio Plus) a new AI illustration. The picture you replace stays in the library.Set the layout
Choose Big picture, Split page, or Caption page. Each page can override the book default and be set back to it later.Reorder pages
Back in Story Builder, tap Reorder, drag a row by its handle, and tap Done. The pages renumber automatically.Delete carefully
Deleting asks for confirmation and renumbers what is left. The app will not delete the last remaining page. Page deletion cannot currently be undone, but the page’s images, videos, and audio remain in Library.
Project Trash and page deletion are different
Deleted whole projects go to Projects → Trash and can be restored. Deleted pages do not go there. The confirmation dialog tells you that their media will remain in Library so it can be attached again to a new page.
Attaching video
A page can hold a video clip instead of a still. The app caches the first frame as a preview so the page card still shows something sensible. Playing the video on a page card is a separate tap from selecting the page, so you will not start a video by accident while reordering.
Keeping a book consistent
- Set the book default layout first and only override where a page needs it.
- Reuse the style half of your image prompts across pages. See write a better prompt.
- Read the whole book aloud once before exporting. Problems with pacing only show up out loud.
